Job Summary:

Provide technical guidance for quality management system implementation on government and commercial projects conducted under recognized quality standards for hardware, software and manufacturing. Help formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Perform project-level quality audits and surveillances to determine and evaluate the level of compliance. Acting as an integral team member, support product development and QA related project management activities from the proposal stage through product delivery and warranty service activities. Interface with project engineers and division management, as well as customer, supplier, and contract representatives as necessary on quality-related issues. Review solicitations and prepare proposals and cost estimates for satisfying quality requirements; recommend revisions of specifications when indicated; perform contract reviews, prepare project quality plans, review purchase requisitions and coordinate inspection, test monitoring and surveillance programs to verify compliance; may conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming material as part of a Material Review Board and perform investigation and analysis to determine root cause, corrective action, and preventive action. Design, install, and evaluate quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. Communicate and coordinate daily with project personnel and QA engineers, scientists, inspectors, and management. Conduct supplier quality assessments to meet contractual requirements. Perform Quality assurance inspections.


Requires a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering degree or related science degree with a minimum of 6 years of engineering experience. Requires a 3.0 GPA. Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ certification) or similar is a plus. Experience in a production, manufacturing, fabrication, or research environment in a quality or related is required. Should have familiarity working under a quality management system such as AS9100, ISO9001:2015, ISO 17025, or CMMI. Experience working as a contributor to a project team is required. Familiarity with quality assurance, mechanical/electrical engineering is a plus. Must have excellent communication skills to work with project staff, management, and client representatives. Quality assurance and inspection experience is a plus. Computer skills (Microsoft office products) are required. Experience with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock) is a plus. Exposure to design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical assemblies is preferred. Some exposure to design and development of high reliability engineering systems is preferred. Experience in the aerospace industry and with NASA/ESA/DOD quality and safety requirements is a plus. A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Durham, New Hampshire. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
