Perform quality control inspections and document inspection measurements using numerous types of measuring and test equipment and MS Office applications. Responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining inspection tools. Perform QA, QC, verifications, and quality activities to determine acceptability of electronics, electromechanical parts and assemblies. Conduct drawing reviews (both on paper and on PC) and complete inspections of complex parts and electro-mechanical assemblies using tools, such as calipers, stereo microscopes, Digital Multi Meter. Provide key support to scientific and engineering and/or more senior technical support staff.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 15 years of quality assurance or electronic fabrication environment experience, an AS Degree in a related technical field is preferred and may be considered in lieu of work experience. Expert knowledge of industry standards, concepts, principles, and practices related to QA is required. Must be willing to learn and adapt. Experience or similar experience with fabrication of electro-mechanical assemblies, familiarity with soldering electronics parts, and quality management standards (i.e. ISO 9001 or similar) is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to and experience with performing printed circuit board inspections to drawings and industry standards (IPC or NASA) is preferred. Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Occasional travel to perform inspections at customer/vendor locations required. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
