SR. TECHNICIAN - TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL

Job Summary:

Join our Applied Power Division to support your team in a variety of ways, including the assembly of mechanical components with tight fit and tolerances, reviewing project instructions, specifications, and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives for fabrication, assembly and testing. You will be responsible for inspecting parts for manufacturing defects and adherence to tolerances, setting up and operating various machines for mechanical assembly which may include presses, grinders, hand tools and power tools, ensuring calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of assembly machines, tools, and test equipment, setting up and conducting tests and inspections of complete units and components, labeling and packaging products for shipment, conferring with vendors, engineers and others regarding inspection results, recommending corrective procedures, and reporting results, recommendations, and needed repairs, marking items for acceptance or rejection; recording test results and inspection data and comparing findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards. Sr. Technician responsibilities include leading other technicians, self-directed projects in mechanical assembly and instrumentation and equipment operation.

Education/Experience:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of mechanical technician experience. Looking for a dedicated and skilled Technician with a variety of mechanical technical aptitude. Mechanical assembly/maintenance experience is required. Ability to interpret written instructions, specifications, and quality plans, use precision measurement tools, dexterity, and attention to detail is required. Must have experience with hand tools and be interested in expanding mechanical skills. Must have strong interpersonal/team skills and have a desire to work in a team environment. Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, and lift (lift with assistance over 50lbs) for extended periods. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required. Limited travel may be required to deliver and setup products. An Active TS security clearance is required. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
